History of India from Earliest Times up to 300 CE
Theory:
1. Meaning and Relevance of History.
2. A Broad survey of Palaeolithic, Mesolithic, and Neolithic Culture.3. Indus-Saraswati Civilization: Origin, Extent, Dominant features & decline, Chalcolithic age.
4. The Vedic period: Polity, society, economy, and religion, iron age with reference to PGW & Megaliths
5. Territorial states and the rise of Magadha, Conditions for the rise of Mahajanpadas, and the causes of Magadha’s success.
6. Jainism and Buddhism: Causes, Doctrines, Spread, Decline, and Contributions.
7. Emergence and Growth of Mauryan Empire: State, Administration, Economy, Ashoka’sDhamma.
8. The Satvahana phase: Aspects of Political History, Material Culture, and Administration.
9. The Sangan Age: Sangan Literature, The three Early Kingdoms, Society & The Tamil Language.
10. The age of Shakas: Parthians & Kushana, Aspects of Polity, Society, Religion, Arts and Crafts.
Around 10 Units are there to study History in B.A. 1st semester

As in many colleges, the internal paper is different from other colleges. So to sort out this problem, we just added the external paper on our site, which is the same in all colleges affiliated with HNB Garhwal University.
